Hello everyone. I’m writing this today the 29th of March. It is about 10:00 AM local time and I’m currently in Leipzig Germany. I’m writing this knowing I won’t be able to actually post it until later. We are waiting for the aircraft to refuel. I’ve been stuck on that plane for just over 8 hours. I will soon reboard and head out for another 5 hour flight to Kuwait. I certainly don’t envy people who travel internationally all the time.
This flight is rather odd in that it is not all military. We have about half contractor and half military. Another thing that I find funny is how we can just carry our weapons right onto the aircraft. They did make us remove our bolts from our M4 rifles but we didn’t have to do anything to our pistols. I guess I should quit trying to apply common sense to some things.
The man that is in the seat next to me is an Iraqi national that left Iraq when Saddam invaded the first time in 90. He left his current job to go back to be an interpreter. He said he had been at the same job for 16 years but this was to lucrative of an opportunity to pass up.
