Today Bob and I decided we would go out and test fire some of our weapons that we have. We ended up getting to shoot a couple of AK-47s too.
We have a SAW its not powertool or something usually used for cutting. It stands for squad automated weapon. If you think machine gun that's what it is. We each shot about 1000 rounds a piece with our personal rifles machine guns and pistols.
This is where I get on my soap box about saying I have a pretty good chance against the bad guys, in fact after shooting an AK-47 which is wha they have I feel a whole beeter knowing that they are basically just spraying rounds while we are aiming and shooting. So I will happily kick thier butts over here, so they don't come home and knock down any more buildings.
I put on my body armor again yesterday... I don't have to wear it everyday. I swear it weighs 50 lbs with all of the ammo and everything.
I will take some pictures of the stay puff marshmellow man I mean me tomorrow. I will try and post some of some pictures I took today of all of our weapons. I didn't look at them so I don't know if they turned out.
Well it's getting late so I'm going to sign off tonight and maybe post a picture or two
Later,
Brent
edit: check the bottom picture I posted a new one

Our hearts swelled with pride as we looked at your OLD GLORY FLYING HIGH OVER CAMP ECHO picture. It's beautiful and tells the whole story, doesn't it. Thinking of you.
I'm sure you have heard that we've been "all shook up" back home with the aftershocks of earthquake in Southern IL. It happened near Susie's old home town. Her parents had some things fall off of their walls.
Other than that, weather great and outside work and play are beginning for all. Ashtyn came over to swim with Logan last Friday. They enjoy each other's company alot!
Take care of you!!!!! D&J
Hi Brent,
Do the weapons you fired have much of a kick? If so, are you a little sore today?
I just remembered that old, old double barrel shot gun I had fixed and took out to your place to test fire it, after I shot the first round I offered you to take a shot. For some reason you did not want to fire it. I did not tell you but my arm was bruised for a week!! Smart choice on you part!!
How long did it take you to fire all those rounds? Did you hit a target or anything besides sand hills?
Enjoyed the pictures.
Take Care and Stay Safe!
Love Dad
We shoot at little targets and water bottles lol, Only took us about an hour to fire all of those rounds, and we took our time. The weapons don't kick much, they have a pretty good recoil system in them. If you don't hold it tight it will bloody a nose but it doesn't kick like a shotgun would.
