Sooooo..... it's Saturday and......

Nothing much new to talk about. If you have been following the news things were a bit tense yesterday. I will explain a little more. Fridays are like Sundays in the states. On Fridays you can imagine the rhetoric that goes on with in the Mosques. Fridays are generally either really quiet or in this case everyone knew Sadar was going to make a statement. And most of us believed he was going to end the cease fire. Well he seemed to keep everything in place. It's interesting to say the least.

My area here is important because it has done so well. The Iraqi Police and Iraqi Army have all but put a stop to IEDs and IDF. Talk about discrimination!! the town has a curfew for all men 15-35. So when people talk about racial profiling in our country well... they are doing it here to the extreme but it is quite effective.

Today was 114.5 I think that is the hottest yet. We still think we prefer the this heat to the humid Illinois dog days. We will see when it hits 130or 135 if I have changed my tune. I am talking in the shade not in the sun. Ove rhte next few days it is suppose to cool off. On Wednesday we are suppose to have a high of only 98 but there is a trade off, the reason it is suppose to cool off is because the sun wont be getting through. If you have been following me you might have guessed it we are in for a sandstorm.

Tommorrow is of course Sunday and my cleaning day but I'm thinking about skipping it because of this storm lol.

Not much else to talk about for now. There are lots of things going on I would love to share but unless i read them in the news I can't say so much about them. If you want to know more and want my take on things in the news I can do that to a certian degree. This year there is so much happening it will be very interesting to watch.

Later for now,

Brent
